WORCESTER – A Worcester Regional Transit Authority bus driver said he was glad to help stop downtown traffic, after a distraught young woman laid down in the street Friday night.
“I felt obliged to help her, and felt like she needed help,” said bus driver Justin Lawson, 33, of Worcester. “There’s only one life, I could do what I can.”
Mr. Lawson reported he was at the intersection of Front and Foster streets in front of the WRTA Hub at approximately 6:45 p.m. Friday, when he saw a woman in her 20s walk in front of an ambulance. As he turned onto Foster Street, the woman then walked in front of his bus and lay down, Mr. Lawson said.
