At the WRTA Advisory Board meeting on June 18, 2009, the Board voted to postpone cutting ADA and fixed route service on weekends until August in order to allow more time for budget information to come in. 

The WRTA will know how much funding it will receive from the state after the state’s FY 2010 budget is signed off by Governor Deval Patrick and approved by the legislature.  The WRTA will then make the decision on what level of ADA and fixed route service can be implemented from September 2009 - June 2010.

The public will be kept apprised of these changes through the WRTA website, shelters, and Customer Service Center as well as various media outlets.
