WRTA to offer free service in honor of Veterans Day
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
WORCESTER _ On Friday, Nov. 11, 2011, in honor of Veterans Day, the Worcester Regional Transit Authority (WRTA) will offer free bus service to all military personnel and veterans for the entire day.
Those who will be allowed to ride free for the day include:
- Military personnel in uniform
- Anyone showing a military identification card
- Anyone showing an American Legion or Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) membership card
“We are honored to be able to offer this small thank you to all the men and women who have served and continue to serve our country,” said WRTA Administrator Stephen O’Neil.
