With their cars temporarily out of commission, Sandy Faulkner and Pat Sprague aren’t as mobile as they’d like to be these days. Fortunately, they don’t have far to travel for fresh fruits and vegetables.

Every Wednesday morning, a farmers market sets up right outside Lincoln Park Tower Apartments on Lake Avenue in Worcester. Faulkner, Sprague and other residents of the Worcester Housing Authority property just walk out the front door of the tower and do their produce shopping.

Last week, they could choose from collards, bok choy, red and golden beets, snap peas, honey, corn, tomatoes, blueberries and much more from the long tables sitting aside the main driveway of the complex.

“I think it’s great,” Faulkner said after buying cucumbers. “Everything is just really nice.”
