WORCESTER — Under electronic signs that flashed real-time updates of when each bus was due, at least six people at the Worcester Regional Transit Authority hub were on hand Monday to answer questions for riders adjusting to the new schedule.
But three blocks away at City Hall, riders waited for buses that never arrived to pick them up.
Stephanie Mosso, who had her 2-year-old son and 7-year-old daughter with her, said about 4:30 p.m. that she had been waiting more than an hour for the number 24 bus to take them home. A driver told her it would be there soon, so she waited even though under the new schedule it no longer stopped there. Besides other riders, there was no one at the bus stop to answer questions.
“I just take the bus when I see it,” she said when asked if she was aware of the new schedule changes.
