WESTBOROUGH – Ridership grew in June on a Worcester Regional Transit Authority shuttle bus service that connects the Westborough commuter rail station to businesses.
There have been times where ridership has exceeded capacity and the service, formed through a partnership between the town and WRTA, has added additional routes and times.
While ridership fell 28 riders from April to May, it rose 143 riders in June, “likely due to the service changes implemented on June 2, with new trips in the mornings to the MBTA station from downtown and the reverse in evenings,” Jonathan Church of Central Massachusetts Regional Planning Commission (CMRPC) said in a press release issued by the town.
