Intro
What is a QR Code? A “Quick Response” (QR) Code is a 2-dimensional bar code image (just like the one on products at the grocery store) that will allow you to quickly access a site on the internet via a mobile device. The WRTA has outfitted its Bus Tracker signage to provide real-time arrival times for your stop just by simply scanning the code.

Quick Response Scan Instructions
Getting your next bus time by using a QR Code Scanner is as easy as 1-2-3. Note that you must have a smart phone with a data plan to use this service (Standard Data Rates Apply).
Step 1: Download Scanner App
If you don’t already have one, you must first download a QR Scanning Application to your mobile device. The WRTA recommends using Scanlife, which is available for iOs , Blackberry, Android or Windows operating systems. You are welcome however, to download any QR Scan application of your choice – reviews of other QR scanning applications for each phone can be found here.
Step 2: Open App & Scan
Now that you’ve downloaded and installed a QR Scan app for your mobile device, open the scanning application and stand about 3-5 feet away from the Sign, fit the QR Box into your scanner. (With scanlife, you will hear a beep when you’ve lined up the image in the crosshairs correctly)
Step 3: Get Your Bus Time!
In this example, at Stop ID 1145, The Route 11 Bus to City Hall will arrive in 12, 14, 16, and 18 minutes.
You can also track your bus by calling, text messaging or by using the web.
