Intro

Using the track by text service  will allow you to access your next bus arrival time using a text message. The best part of this free service is that you don’t need a smart phone or a data plan. However, please note that Standard Text Message Rates still apply with your carrier.  If you do not have text messaging or a data plan, you can also call the Bus Tracker system.

Basic Phone Instructions

Getting your next bus time using a text message is as easy as 1-2-3. (Standard Text Message Rates Apply)

Step 1:

Open text messaging.  Type 41411 in the “To:  “  field of your mobile device.

Step 2:

Type“WRTA [Stop ID] “ in the message field , where [Stop ID] is the number on the sign posted at your stop location.  In the example below, stop 1145 is used.

Step 3:

Push ‘Send’  and wait a few moments, your bus time will be texted back to you as shown below!

In this example, at Stop ID 1145, The Route 4 Bus to City Hall will arrive in 22 minutes and the Route 11 Bus to Union Station will arrive in 14 minutes.

Unsubscribing from Track By Text

There are two ways you can unsubscribe – to stop receiving ALL alerts from 41411, simply send the message “stop” to 41411. If you would like to just stop receiving alerts from WRTA, text the message “leave WRTA” to 41411. You can visit textmarks customer support for more information
